The Taft Independent School District Board of Trustees opened its Oct. 21 meeting by recognizing district principals for National Principals Month and highlighting staff and students in a Greyhound Spotlight program.
Trustees acknowledged Melissa Pittman of Woodroe Petty Elementary, Christine Acosta of Ricardo L. Treviño Junior High and Thomas Harris of Taft High School. The board also named teachers and paraprofessionals for campus spotlights, including Jaime Lynch (teacher) and Enedelia Olivarez (paraprofessional) at Woodroe Petty Elementary, and David Cardenas (teacher) and Elizabell Hernandez (paraprofessional) at Taft High School. The recognitions were recorded in the minutes under the meeting’s announcements.
