The Sunnyvale I.S.D. Board of Trustees reconvened in open session at 8:46 p.m. Oct. 29 and unanimously denied combined Level Three grievances numbered 4 and 5.
According to the meeting minutes, "Motion made by Linda Gooch, seconded by Kelleyton Wilson, Sr., that the board deny the combined Level Three grievances identified as number four and five and further move that the board deny the requested remedies." The motion was approved 7–0. The board had been in executive session immediately beforehand to consult with legal counsel and conduct grievance hearings under Tex. Gov't Code §§551.071, 551.074 and 551.0821.
No further remedies or follow-up tasks were recorded in the minutes for these grievances, and the board returned to executive session after the vote to consider additional appeals.
