The Cleveland Chamber of Commerce presented a resolution supporting the Tarkington ISD bond for the Nov. 5 bond election, which the chamber said would help the district enhance infrastructure to support local growth. Kari Duggar discussed the resolution during the board's information items.
Superintendent Dr. Davis, in an earlier update, reviewed enrollment figures and provided information about the bond and the school board election; he also reminded the public that early voting began Oct. 21 and runs through Election Day, Nov. 5. The presentation included a brief video about the condition of the district field house.
Why it matters: District officials said the bond proceeds would target infrastructure needs tied to growing student enrollment in a district that serves more than 1,900 students. The board did not take a formal vote on the bond at this meeting.
