Old Tappan schedules Easter egg hunt, camp expansion and Movies in the Park

Councilwoman Costello told the council the recreation committee scheduled an Easter egg hunt for March 28 at Oaks Park, aimed at children up to age 9, and said Camp Serendipity will add field trips for grades 5–7 this year as part of a program expansion. She also listed the Movies in the Park dates (June 5, July 10 and Aug. 28) and described adult programs at the library, including a June 13 murder‑mystery fundraiser.
Council members discussed logistics, volunteer staffing and potential conflicts with sports fields. Costello said leadership in youth baseball and softball is in transition and opening day is not set. The council encouraged staff to coordinate with the library and parks volunteers and confirmed volunteers and council members will help staff events when outside costs for performers were prohibitive.
