Chief of Police Mike Cmielewski said the village should consider contracting ambulance service with nearby providers if volunteer response does not improve and referenced a municipal cost trade-off: "For $20,000.00 to put an ambulance in the building only makes sense." Commissioners told the Corps that if it is not operational by July 5 the Board may move to disband it; no formal disbanding motion was recorded in open session.
