Board approves nine probationary members for Ridgefield Park Heavy Rescue

On a motion by Commissioner Wanda C. Portorreal, seconded by Mayor Adam MacNeill, the Village Board approved probationary membership for nine individuals in the Ridgefield Park Heavy Rescue Squad. The motion listed Daniele Fede, Jim Fessel, Mike Leong, Rob Foster, Rebecca Foster, Wayne Sorge, Adil Khan and Pete Pellot, and carried on a roll-call vote with Commissioners Anlian, Gerken, Mirza, Portorreal and Mayor MacNeill voting "YEA."
The appointments were presented as a group during the correspondence and appointments portion of the caucus; no members of the public spoke on the matter. The Board's action adds capacity to the Village’s emergency response roster ahead of the spring season.
