The Tatum Independent School District Board of Trustees voted 6-0 on Feb. 10 to officially order the School Board Election for May 3, 2025. Superintendent J.P. Richardson told trustees the election calendar must be set so filing and notice deadlines can be met.
Trustees noted the seats expiring this May: Place 4 (Everigester Adams, Jr.), Place 5 (Dennis Williams, full term) and Place 7 (Erika Smith, unexpired term). Mrs. Kip Smith Amick moved to order the election and Stephen Skinner seconded; the motion passed 6-0. The board did not take further action related to candidate filings at the meeting.
