The Stephenville Independent School District Board of Education convened a called meeting on June 22, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Bond Auditorium. Board members present were Dr. Robert Barberee (President), Mr. Chad Elms, Mr. Donny Hill, Mr. Ben McCleery, Mr. Matt Miller, Mr. Jason Smith and Dr. Rita Cook. Superintendent Dr. Eric Cederstrom and district staff were listed as present along with Erath County Judge Brandon Huckabee.
During the brief session the board approved two resolutions by unanimous vote (7-0): one disapproving the Erath County Appraisal District's proposed purchase/acquisition of real property under Tex. Tax Code §6.051 (motion by Dr. Rita Cook, second Mr. Donny Hill), and one disapproving the appraisal district's proposed/adopted budget under Tex. Tax Code §6.06(b) and authorizing filing of the resolution with the appraisal district secretary (motion by Mr. Chad Elms, second Mr. Ben McCleery). With no further business, Mr. Matt Miller moved to adjourn; Mr. Ben McCleery seconded and the board unanimously approved adjournment.
