The Green Bay Area Public School District board convened a special meeting Aug. 4 to consider personnel items and adjourned after completing the agenda.
At the outset the chair said, "I'll call the 08/04/2026 special board meeting to order." Clerk Kenzie led the roll call. During the employment vote a participant experienced intermittent connection problems; the chair said, "I don't want a registered vote in her name," and the clerk noted the usual practice would be to mark that member as not present at vote. A staff member later stated, "Then all votes have been entered, and the motion has carried, with the 5 votes yes, and then Mary's as not present at vote."
The meeting concluded after the board approved employment, resignation and retirement items and a motion to adjourn. The board did not take additional business at the special session.
