York County appeals board schedules May 7 site visit to verify finished basement on parcel 778-01-01-077

Board chair Harry Johnson asked the appellants whether they had received a voicemail from Mr. Clark arranging a site visit; the appellants said they had not received such a voicemail. Following discussion and an executive session, the board "adjudges and decrees that the appraiser, Wayne Clark to schedule on Thursday May 7th at 10:00am to verify the discrepancy of the said finished basement area. The Board also requested that any findings need to reported to the appellants and the Board members within 30 days." The board instructed the assessor's staff to report back with the site-visit findings within the 30-day window.
The action does not change the assessed value immediately; it directs fact-finding about the finished-basement area that the appellants dispute. If the site visit results differ from the assessor’s records, the board and the appellants will receive the findings and the matter may be placed back on a future agenda if the appellants remain in disagreement.
