Commissioner William G. Gerken gave first reading and moved adoption on first reading for several ordinances at the Feb. 10 meeting. Ordinance 2026-03 would amend Chapter 177 ("Fees"); Ordinance 2026-04 would merge powers and duties of the Ridgefield Park Zoning Board of Adjustment into the Planning Board and rename it the Ridgefield Park Land Use Board. The board also introduced Ordinance 2026-05 (Challenger Road Affordable Housing Overlay Zone), Ordinance 2026-06 (Elks Club Affordable Housing Overlay Zone) and Ordinance 2026-07 (amending the Mount Vernon Street redevelopment plan concerning affordable housing). Each ordinance was adopted on first reading and scheduled for public hearing on February 24, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
