Ridgefield Park adopts snow-violation fee increase to $150

The Ridgefield Park Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on Feb. 10 to adopt Ordinance 2026-02, amending Chapter 197 of the village code to raise the fee for violating the snow ordinance to $150. Commissioner John H. Anlian read the ordinance on second reading and moved for adoption; Commissioner William G. Gerken seconded the motion, which passed on a roll-call vote of the full board.
The ordinance was presented at the meeting after the clerk filed the affidavit of publication required by law. The board scheduled no further action on the item at that meeting; implementation will follow established enforcement procedures in Chapter 197, "Vehicles and Traffic." The adoption occurred alongside other routine municipal business at the Feb. 10 regular meeting.
