Temple ISD appoints Cynthia Pawelek as Director of Accountability and School Improvement

The Temple Independent School District Board of Trustees appointed Cynthia Pawelek as Director of Accountability and School Improvement at its Aug. 12, 2024 regular meeting. Pawelek was presented as the lone finalist for the position and the board approved the appointment by a 7-0 vote after a motion from Ronnie Gaines and a second from Linell Davis.
Board President Dan Posey announced the appointment during the portion of the agenda addressing executive hires. The action was recorded in the minutes as a formal appointment; the minutes list members present and record the unanimous vote. The board also conducted other routine business, including adoption of district goals and the approval of a multi-item consent agenda at the same meeting.
