The oath included commitments to protect district assets, respect free expression, and work with the superintendent to advance the district’s vision.
Board members then welcomed Dr. Hansel. The appointment followed a special meeting to conduct interviews for the vacancy; the chair noted the seat was vacated by “Mr. Herman.” No public comment was offered during the recognition segment.
