The board convened into closed session under Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code to deliberate personnel matters including assignments, reassignments, performance and resignations. After returning to open session, trustees voted to employ personnel listed in the superintendent's recommendations under one-year term, one-year probationary, and two-year term contracts for the 2026–2027 and 2027–2028 school years; the president was authorized to execute contracts.
The meeting record and accompanying administrative recommendation (printed in the packet) list named administrators recommended for contracts, including one-year term and probationary assistant principals and two-year term contracts for principals and select directors (examples: Lynett Walker, Robin Salazar, Kris Friel, Daniel Keith, Diana Wolfe). The motion to employ the listed employees was moved by Kacy Quinton, seconded by Jenni McCaslin, and carried unanimously. Specific contract terms and assignments are subject to assignment and acceptance by the employees.
