The Tulia Independent School District Board of Trustees held motions on May 19 to elect its 2026-27 officers. Jenni McCaslin moved, and Kacy Quinton seconded, to approve Clint Mahannah as Board President; the minutes show an abstention by Mahannah (noted "with conflict") and the remaining recorded votes listed in the roll call.
The board then approved Ashley Ramirez as vice-president (motion by Kacy Quinton, seconded by Jenni McCaslin) and Kacy Quinton as secretary (motion by Nicole Gore, seconded by Ashley Ramirez). The meeting minutes list individual roll-call votes for each motion; Jason Jack is recorded as absent. The minutes include an internal inconsistency (the line "Vote unanimous" appears in the record while one or more abstentions also are recorded) and the article reports the votes as recorded rather than using the word "unanimous."
