At the March 3 meeting the commission reviewed Nature Preserve finances: the adjusted 2026 Nature Preserve budget is $8,000 and the account balance as of Feb. 27, 2026 stood at $7,731.14. A purchase order (PO#65272) for $245.73 to Wild Birds Unlimited for winter bird-feeding supplies was recorded.
Commissioner William Gerken reported that he moved $7,000 previously set aside for an intern into the Nature Preserve account to cover landscaper costs. The RFP for landscaping work was revised to reflect verbal changes and has a return date of March 18, 2026.
