Ridgefield Park EC eyes ANJEC grant; $1,500 application due April 13

At its March 3 meeting the Ridgefield Park Environmental Commission reviewed grant opportunities, including eligibility for a $1,500 ANJEC grant that the commission must apply for by April 13, 2026. Tammy Laverty agreed to contact Lisa Rehm to discuss filing the application and members asked staff to check about a Native Plant Society grant typically issued in January.
The commission also flagged ANJEC training sessions (late March evenings) and encouraged members to consider applying for grants and attending the workshops. Commissioner Gerken reiterated the importance of pursuing ANJEC funding during his report.
