Engineer and public works update: Tractor Supply, Autumn Run and upcoming water-main bids

At the June 11 council meeting Borough Engineer Mark Brunermer updated the council on several projects: construction at Tractor Supply is underway; Autumn Run development has started but crews are addressing a groundwater problem; N. Broad Phase II paving is complete with signs and striping scheduled next week; and a private owner at the south end of town will work on a parking lot at the old barber shop. Brunermer suggested council consider a special meeting to award the water-main project bid.
Public Works Director Greg Sawyer reported that bids for the water-main project are due next week and summer help will start soon. Council and staff will coordinate procurement and possible special meeting scheduling so that award and financing steps align with the introduced bond and appropriation ordinances.
