Borough Solicitor Vigilante presented a draft film ordinance to Council on Oct. 28 and led a discussion about how the borough should structure fees, handle appeals and notify businesses and residents of on-location filming. Councilman Bially referenced fee structures in other municipalities as examples while members asked staff to consider notice processes and administrative appeal procedures.
No fee schedule or final appeal language was adopted at the work session. Council directed staff to return with proposed fee options and clearer notice and appeals language so the ordinance can be refined before a formal introduction or public hearing.
