Troy ISD trustees allocate appraisal-district votes to local candidates

At the Nov. 18 meeting, Troy ISD trustees used the board’s allocated appraisal-district votes to support local candidates for county appraisal boards.
A motion by Tommy Valle, seconded by Carrie Trees, allocated all 60 of Troy ISD’s Bell County Appraisal District votes to Jared Bryan; the motion carried unanimously. Separately, President Gary McMurtry moved (seconded by Tommy Valle) to cast four votes each for Ian Giesler and Byrleen Terry for the Falls County Appraisal District Board of Directors; that motion also carried unanimously.
