TMISD board adopts emergency resolution to authorize high school roof repairs

"It is the Administration's recommendation that the board adopt a Resolution making findings regarding the emergency condition affecting a portion of the roof at the High School campus; determining that the delay in making emergency repairs and related work would prevent or substantially impair the conduct of classes or other essential school activities and authorizing the Superintendent to procure emergency repairs, replacement and related work," the minutes state.
Trustee Rick Chapa moved the motion and Trustee Leo Gonzalez seconded it. Trustees Paul Arriaga, Leo Gonzalez, Rick Chapa and Mari Jimenez voted "Yes." Trustees Brian Boone and Kim Boone were recorded absent; the minutes record the vote as 4:0. The minutes do not include a vendor name or a repair cost estimate.
