City updates fee schedule; water meter price raised

Uintah's council approved an updated fee schedule on Sept. 16 that raises the cost of water meters to reflect higher supplier charges, according to City Recorder Michelle Mortensen.
City Recorder Michelle Mortensen told the council the only change in the updated fee schedule was an increase in the price of water meters to cover higher supplier costs. Council Member Roberts moved to approve the fee schedule with the meter cost change; Council Member Patterson seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Mortensen said the increase responds to higher charges the city is being assessed for meters; no dollar amounts were provided during the meeting. Staff will update public-facing fee documents to reflect the new meter price.
