Superintendent Jones told the board the district "has been awarded the Jobs for East Texans (JET) Grant. This will provide over $300,000 for the Health Sciences CTE program." GLS architects will meet with campus and district administrators to finalize plans for the high-school academic wing.
Jones said district leaders reviewed recent emergency-response experience after a swatting call and met with Alto ISD staff to learn from their evacuation procedures; Jones, Chief Kyndal Brown and Trustee Ty Lindsey debriefed the incident to identify improvements to evacuation and reunification plans. The superintendent also listed end-of-year dates and summer professional development plans for staff.
