Staff and an applicant reviewed the list of events on the packet: Sept. 10 trivia night; Sept. 19 birthday; Sept. 20 book launch; Sept. 27 family show; Oct. 2 food-shelf fundraiser; Oct. 3 potluck and square dance; Oct. 4 market day; Oct. 31 Halloween trick-or-treating; and an additional wedding event noted for Sept. 11. One permit had arrived late that day and staff said they would print it for the record before signatures.
An applicant speaking to the board estimated attendance plans to be under the facility limits; for a retirement celebration the applicant said the hosts expected about 150 people and staff discussed parking and traffic control. “They mentioned a 150 people,” the applicant said while describing plans to stage the reception at Green Trails and to coordinate traffic control and parking with local partners.
A board member moved to approve the nine permits as submitted; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
