Sweetwater ISD Students Advance to State Competitions; Girls Golf Crowned State Champions

Superintendent Reggy Spencer recognized Sweetwater High School students and teams who advanced to state competitions and highlighted a state champion team.
Students advancing to state include Fishing Team members Tapley Allen and Ryan Galindo; Bar‑B‑Que competition participants Cooper Meador, Brock Teel, Adrian Davila, Ivan Figueroa and Tim Barber (coached by Jarrod Gee); DECA representatives Brenda Montemayor, Meredith Paty, Keeli Ussery, Allie Thompson, Sophia Vela and Mallory Gibson (sponsor Nina Wilson); and the Nursery & Landscaping team Katy Rivera, Katie Lopez and Airana Limones (sponsor Jamie Hubbel). The board was also introduced to the State Champion Girls Golf team: Peyton Gee, MacKenzie May, Halley Nixon, Cylan Patterson and Bailey Rainbolt, coached by Jarrod Gee and Dillon Gainey.
The recognitions were presented as part of the Superintendent Reports; no Board action was required.
