County work on S. Academy St/Fairview Road to start next week; NJDOT FY2027 aid application deadline set

Academy Street/Fairview Road should begin next week and that detour signs will be placed in advance. "Work should be starting next week. Detours signs will be placed soon," the agenda notes stated.
Council was also notified that the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s FY2027 State Aid program has a July 1, 2026 application deadline; borough staff (identified in the meeting as Greg and Mark) will review streets for a potential Municipal Aid application. Council asked staff to evaluate candidate streets and return with recommendations.
