Clayton council adopts two ordinances, introduces alcohol-license amendment

The Borough of Clayton Council voted unanimously during its April 23 work session to adopt two ordinances and to introduce a third. Council approved Ordinance 5-2026, "An ordinance authorizing the acceptance and recording of deed of easement (Block 1814, Lot 15.02 / 1419 Filbert Street)," and Ordinance 6-2026, "An ordinance of the Borough of Clayton establishing provisions for reimbursement for fire department services." Both measures passed on recorded roll-call votes with all members voting yes.
Council also introduced Ordinance 8-2026, an amendment to Chapter 34 (Alcoholic Beverages, Article I, Licenses). The introduction motion (M/Moorhouse S/Chapes) carried on a unanimous roll call; the ordinance will proceed to the next required steps for public hearing and further consideration.
The adoption votes were recorded as: Wolak — yes; Rollo — yes; Chapes — yes; Moorhouse — yes; Vondran — yes; Long — yes. The council treated ordinance adoptions as routine business during this work-session meeting.
