Union Grove ISD board approves publishing proposed tax rate, schedules Aug. 28 public hearing

The Union Grove Independent School District Board of Trustees voted Aug. 12 to approve the proposed tax rate that will be published in the legal notice ahead of a public meeting. Trustee Tim Turner moved to approve the publication and Trustee Tim Bower seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
At the same meeting the board set the public meeting on the proposed budget and tax rate for August 28, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. The board also approved a separate resolution to designate a Tax Rate Calculation officer for the 2024 tax year. No dissenting votes were recorded; seven board members were present.
