The Seaside School District Board voted to ratify the collective bargaining agreement with the Oregon School Employees Association (OSEA) Chapter 107 at its Feb. 17 meeting. The motion to ratify carried unanimously.
Superintendent Susan Penrod told the board that OSEA members ratified the agreement on Feb. 13 and that the new compensation will be included in the March payroll; the business office will communicate details about retroactive pay to classified staff. The ratification followed union reports earlier in the meeting in which staff representatives described a difficult bargaining process and asked the board to pay attention to workplace safety concerns.
