Board approves consent agenda with multiple hires, resignations and donations

At its June 8 meeting, the Pendleton School District 16R Board approved the consent agenda, which included the May 31 financial report (property tax collections at 95% of levy), grant and donation acknowledgements and a human resources report. The grants/donations noted were a $7,500 donation from the Pendleton Linebackers Club to Pendleton High School football and a $500 wooden business desk donated by Chuck West to the PHS Drama Program.
The human resources report listed new hires and resignations across certified and classified positions. Notable additions for the 2026–27 school year include three new special education teachers: Jacob Pierce (WES), Danielle Kobasa (WES), and Quinn Piver (SHES). Several resignations were recorded (for example, Serena Bontemps, Grade 3 teacher at SHES). Director Murphy moved to approve the consent agenda; Director Pace seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
