Board approves multiple MOUs, program agreements and $31,908 Teacher Incentive amendment

Valley View ISD trustees approved a series of interagency agreements, service contracts and budget actions during the Aug. 29 meeting. The board unanimously approved a jurisdictional and interagency support MOU between the Hidalgo and Pharr police departments, MOUs with Tropical Texas Behavioral Health and UTRGV Evergreen for behavioral health services, and renewed the Region One ESC Omnitrack services agreement. Trustees also approved the VVISD Teacher Incentive Allotment Spending Plan and a $31,908 budget amendment allocating fund balance for the Teacher Incentive Allotment.
Child Nutrition Director Sandra Lopez presented and the board approved the SFSPac Food Safety & Sanitation System Service Agreement. The board also approved a set of expenditures over $10,000 as recommended by administration, including a projected purchase of food and non-food items for 2024–25 in the estimated amount of $1,900,000 (federal funds), a $18,000 reading-academy participation, a $14,275.25 library cooperative renewal (Title I funds), a Time Clock Plus renewal (approx. $37,405.98, local funds), and an Edmentum Plato district license renewal ($38,330, state compensatory funds). All motions were recorded as carried unanimously.
