Edward Trygar suggested the committee pursue an adjustment to the downtown signage ordinance and asked that Chairwoman Danielle Ciulla draft a letter to the Mayor and Council and the Redevelopment Committee for committee approval. Ciulla agreed to prepare the draft and circulate it to members before sending it.
Trygar also raised a concern that grants may not apply to businesses that also own their property. Treasurer Amin Moawad said he believed that statement was incorrect and said he would contact Kathy at the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) to confirm whether owner-occupied businesses are eligible for grants. The minutes record intent to follow up, but no definitive eligibility determination was recorded at this meeting.
