The Waxahachie Independent School District Board of Trustees adopted an order canvassing the May 2, 2026 trustee election after a motion by Trustee Debbie Timmermann and a second from Trustee Kim Kriegel; the motion passed 5-0. The canvass affirmed results from the May 2 election.
Judge John Wray then cited the oath of office to the newly elected trustees; Trustee Clay Schoolfield and Trustee Gary Fox were sworn in during the May 11 meeting. The proceedings were recorded in the minutes and the board proceeded to its other agenda items following the oath.
