The Village of Palatine council opened its Feb. 1 meeting, approved the Jan. 18 regular meeting and committee-of-the-whole minutes, and recessed to committee of the whole before returning to adopt a consent agenda including zoning variances and a code amendment.
Council members moved and seconded approval of items 1 through 6 with waiver of first reading; the roll-call vote carried and the items advanced. Councilman Kozlowski noted one zoning item "can be put on tonight's consent agenda," reflecting unanimous committee recommendations for the matters considered earlier in the evening.
The items on the consent agenda included two special-use requests to permit reduced rear- and side-yard setbacks and an amendment to Appendix B of the Village code to clarify recapture procedures for certain public improvements. No members of the public offered testimony on the consent items during the council reconvening. The council adjourned without further action on nonagenda items.
