The Veribest Independent School District Board of Trustees on Nov. 18 recorded and certified vote totals for five trustee positions and confirmed terms for the winners.
Board President Mark Kellermeier moved to record the results and nominate the successful candidates. The board recorded the following vote counts in its action: Louis Gomez — one-year term, Position 1 (14 votes); Bob Reeves — one-year term, Position 2 (15 votes); Kandi Pool — three-year term, Position 3 (15 votes); Scott Tankersley — three-year term, Position 4 (14 votes); and Eric Wilson — three-year term, Position 5 (14 votes). Dalena Freeman seconded the motion, and the certification passed on a 6–0 vote.
The vote was taken during the board's regular meeting at the Veribest High School administration building. The Nov. 18 minutes show the board recorded the counts as part of the nominations and then approved the motion to accept those results. The board's minutes list the trustees present and note that the meeting later reconvened after a short closed session with 'No Action necessary.'
