Board President Mark Kellermeier moved to approve the District Improvement Plan for 2024-2025; Mark Schwartz seconded; motion passed 6/0. Kellermeier later moved to approve the Campus Improvement Plan for 2024-2025; Chris Blackwell seconded; motion passed 6/0. The board also approved a quote from Abacus for CleverTouch Panels and carts intended for Phase 2 classroom readiness: "Mark Kellermeier moved to approve the quote from Abacus for CleverTouch Panels and Carts for Phase 2; Dalena Freeman seconded; motion passed 6/0."
Superintendent Mandy Traylor said the approvals fit into the district's timeline for moving into Phase II spaces and completing required instructional setups. District leadership emphasized that the approved plans will guide campus priorities for instruction, assessment and teacher supports in the coming school year. The board recessed into closed session under Texas Government Code Chapter 551 to discuss personnel and reconvened with no reportable action.
The board set its next regular meeting for Nov. 18, 2024, with dinner at 6 p.m.
