Board approves two-year extension with ProMedica for school-based clinical services

The board voted to extend the district's contract with ProMedica for two years to continue clinical nursing and therapy services at Monroe High School. "It is a recommendation of the administration for verification to approve the contract extension with ProMedica," Superintendent Shaw said before trustees moved, seconded and approved the extension by roll call 7-0.
During discussion, trustees asked whether the parental-consent policy governing student conversations is held by the district or by ProMedica. Shaw clarified that the policy is ProMedica's: "That was one that, two years ago that the Board of Education wanted to make sure was being followed by ProMedica... That is their policy and their practice." The motion passed unanimously.
