Board advances multiple policy revisions; adopts small unmanned aircraft systems policy on second reading

Superintendent Shaw presented a first reading by title of a series of board policy revisions and new policies, including conflict-of-interest updates, federal grant controls, AI policy, and others, noting the packet is available online. "These policies will not come back to the board until our April board meeting," Shaw said.
On a separate motion the board approved the second reading and adoption of Policy 74 40.03 governing small unmanned aircraft systems; Superintendent Shaw described the adoption process and said once the board adopts a second reading the changes become final and effective. The motion to accept the UAS policy passed unanimously, 7-0.
