The Palatine Liquor Commission met immediately after the council adjourned and considered an application from WINOS Inc., doing business as Divine Wine & Gifts, for a Class B and Class PS liquor license at 243 E. Northwest Highway. Staff reported a new operator but the same operational plan and recommended approval. Roberta Sullivan introduced herself as the new owner and said she would operate the business similarly to the previous owners Tom and Liz Goler while adding more gift merchandise. "I'm now going to take it over... Operate it the same way they have. We're bringing a little more gifts, and make it more of a 1 stop gift shop," Sullivan said.
With no public opposition, the commission voted to approve the license application. Staff noted public notice requirements would be followed and the applicant was encouraged to proceed with the business transfer processes.
