Sheriff's deputy reports limited enforcement volume; commissioners ask for extra coverage at events

The deputy acknowledged staffing constraints and lower daytime coverage due to night-shift assignments. Commissioners asked whether additional patrols could be provided for upcoming events and were told the department would attempt to allocate deputies depending on expected crowd sizes.
The deputy also noted a small number of narcotics warrants served in the city; commissioners expressed gratitude and asked staff to coordinate with the sheriff for event security and traffic control.
No formal requests for extra funding or a vote were recorded; commissioners and the sheriff's representative agreed to coordinate event plans and consider resources for traffic-control needs.
