Mayor Janet W. Tucci opened the West Long Branch caucus meeting on Feb. 4 and said the council would go into executive session after the public portion to consider several items, including an Aetna behavioral health contract and police personnel issues. "The Mayor listed the items for discussion in Executive Session, which included the following: i. Awards night ii. Condo Services Obligation iii. New Tort Claim iv. Aetna Contract V. Police Personnel," she said.
Borough Attorney Baxter told the council the Aetna contract on the agenda requires additional review and asked the council to hold off on approving the resolution until it could be discussed in executive session. The request was placed on the record during the public caucus; the council later moved to adjourn the caucus and proceed to executive session as announced. The public comment period produced no speakers before the caucus adjourned at 6:42 PM.
