The Borough Council voted Jan. 21 to accept a $72,363 grant from the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners for improvements to Valenzano Park on Wall Street (Block 60, Lot 82). The grant will fund an inclusive playground, irrigation and sod for the soccer field, repairs to existing walkways, regrading and related site work.
The resolution authorizes the Mayor and Borough Clerk to execute the grant agreement and directs the Borough Administrator to take necessary steps to implement the grant's terms; the council recorded that it will comply with all grant requirements and that funds have been approved by the county.
