Weslaco ISD board accepts final completion of multiple synthetic-turf projects

The Weslaco ISD board voted to accept final completion on several synthetic-turf projects on Sept. 15. Dr. Richard Rivera recommended approval of final completion for the stadium replacement project (CSP #250339), citing a small credit and recommending weather-day allowances. Trustees approved the recommendation by motion.
The board also approved the final completion of synthetic turf installations for the baseball and softball fields at Weslaco East High School (CSP #250806), accepting recommended change orders for unspent allowances and an adjusted number of additional days. Trustees moved, seconded and carried both actions with voice votes.
Board members inspected project materials in discussion and offered brief praise for the finished work. Staff stated both projects had met recommended final conditions and that punch-list items had been addressed according to the project reports.
