Principals report on testing, GT nominations and student activities
Summary
Principals and staff reported scheduled benchmark and interim assessments Nov. 11–16, opened GT nominations Nov. 4, and announced UIL meets, TSI/ACT administration and other student events; no board action was taken.
Campus principals presented regular reports on testing windows, program nominations and student activities. Mrs. Deidre Kane announced that GT nominations opened Nov. 4, benchmark tests for grades 3–5 would be given Nov. 11–15, and that progress reports and the Thanksgiving schedule would follow the district calendar.
Junior-high staff (reported by Jermaine Cantu in Mr. Fisher’s absence) and WHS representatives reported recent UIL marching results, industry certifications for seniors through the Texas Cattle Feeders Association, ACT testing dates and upcoming academic meets. The minutes also note planned parental and Head Start meetings and a reward event for UIL participants.
The principals’ reports were informational; the board did not take formal action on the items during this meeting.
