Council members urged clear outreach so homeowners understand that declining service now could mean paying hookup costs later. One member warned residents that if they do not provide positive feedback at the meeting, "it's gonna cost them significantly for a hookup that could have been free." The council moved to accept the administrator's report and to schedule follow-up consideration of a formal ordinance if residents signal support.
