The Van Alstyne ISD Board of Trustees voted to continue using the Region 11 Employee Benefits Cooperative for administration of employee benefits for the 2026–2027 school year. Trustee Debbie Nance moved to approve the Region 11 resolution and agreement; Beau Williams seconded. The motion passed 6-0.
Administrators told the board that TRS insurance and benefit rates have increased by about 20 percent and that Region 11 now sets regional prices based on hospital and doctor costs in the area. The board's action maintains the district's current benefits administration arrangement for the coming year; no additional benefits changes were recorded in the meeting minutes.
