The Commission unanimously adopted Resolution 25-01 on Feb. 13, which preserves the City's right, if needed, to levy non-ad valorem special assessments within the incorporated area of Winter Garden. City Manager Jon C. Williams told commissioners the resolution preserves the option as the city moves into the fiscal year and referenced an ongoing study reviewing the fire assessment fee.
Commissioner Colin Sharman moved to adopt Resolution 25-01; Commissioner Chloe Johnson seconded and the motion carried 5-0. The resolution includes provisions for mailing the resolution and an effective date as recorded in the adopted document.
