The West Oso Independent School District Board of Trustees reviewed safety‑audit results in closed session and, upon reconvening, approved actions related to the audit by unanimous vote on June 22, 2026.
Trustee Liz Gutierrez moved to consider possible action on the safety audit results; the motion carried 6‑0‑0. The record shows the board had discussed security devices and the safety audit during closed session under Texas Government Code Section 551.076. The board also separately approved, by unanimous vote, the annual renewal of the Good Cause Exception and the district's continued implementation of the alternative standard under Texas Education Code §37.0814 (as amended by House Bill 121, 89th Legislature), and adopted a resolution authorizing that implementation.
Board staff were instructed to attach the adopted resolution to the minutes and to continue with the implementation steps required by the alternative standard.
