The West Oso Independent School District Board of Trustees met in a special session on Jan. 30, 2025, at the district administration building in Corpus Christi. The meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m. by Board President Velma Rodriguez; a quorum of trustees was present (Oscar Arredondo, Shirley Jordan, Liz Gutierrez, Belinda Gonzalez and Albert Villarreal). Trustee Priscilla Vela was recorded as absent.
During the meeting trustees were recognized for Board Appreciation Month (January 2025); presenters and performers listed in the minutes included Ms. Kimberly Moore, the WOHS Mariachi and the WOISD Superintendent Student Advisory. The agenda opened an opportunity for public participation but the minutes state there were "No Public Comments." The special meeting adjourned at 8:22 p.m. No motions, votes, or formal actions were recorded in the minutes for this session.
